I have always loved to read, always loved to write.
I wrote my first novel, The Keeper (April 11th, 2015), during the 2013 NaNoWriMo event and have since also published a sequel: The Varken (May 20th, 2017). Both are stand-alone novels set in the same world – Eviryia – but there are always more worlds to create and characters to explore!
While I have only published two novels, I have written three novels since The Keeper was published, but only The Varken made it to getting published. I am hoping to write a third book set in Eviryia, The Blessed, one day, but I am currently venturing out from Young Adult Fantasy into Thriller, which is my favorite genre to read (Colors to Stars working title). Through this blog, I invite you to join me on my journey of growing as an author and giving you a peek into my process.
As I adventure through the world of outlining, writing, editing, and publishing, I’ll be sharing here with you about how I write and what I am writing, as well as musings, updates, and little snippets. I have a lot to learn when it comes to the art of storytelling and it is my desire to share the lessons I learn with my readers.
Besides novel writing, I also write Christian musicals with my husband, Jeremy, over at our publishing company, The Faithful Troubadour Publications. We work together on the musics, lyrics, and book and it is an exciting change of pace from novel writing. We have several musicals published – Fractured, Fairytale, Scarlet, & Atlantis – with a million more on the way!
For a little bit of history, I have a B.F.A. in Costume Design and Technology, and work on the side teaching sewing. I live in Raleigh, North Carolina and love to spend my free time playing with my energetic Corgi, Parker, reading, playing games with Jeremy, dabbling in watercolor, and drinking all of the coffee.
